About Me

Growing up in the heart of Charlotte, NC, I discovered my passion for helping others early on. My educational journey began at Appalachian State University, eventually leading me to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I earned my degree in Human Resources. Currently, I'm pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.

With 35 years of marriage and two wonderful adult children, my life has been a tapestry of experiences and careers. From being a real estate broker and a housing counselor to a reverse mortgage counselor and a human resources business partner, each role has enriched my understanding of people and their unique journeys.

My practicum at an integrated medical physician’s office provided me with hands-on experience working with clients aged 9 to 75, dealing with various issues including grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression. This diverse experience has equipped me to handle a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

As your therapist, I embrace a person-centered approach. I firmly believe that you are the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate your challenges, offering a safe, supportive space for you to share your feelings, learn new coping skills, and find the resources and strategies you need to thrive.

Whether you're striving to become a better version of yourself or facing significant obstacles, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards achieving your goals and unlocking your full potential.
